Chapter 10 - THE NEW ORDER IN THE ROSSI ESTATE

Later that evening, the storm outside the mansion had cleared, leaving a crisp, starlit sky over the New York skyline.
Downstairs in the grand mahogany-paneled study, Marcus stood by the fireplace, watching Luca sign the final legal documents for the Brooklyn property transfer. Luca now wore a black silk dress shirt, left unbuttoned at the collar, concealing the fresh bandage on his shoulder.
Marcus closed the folder, looking at his employer with quiet observation.
"The assistant, Elena," Marcus noted casually, adjusting his cuff links. "Should I assign her to the lower floor duties starting tomorrow? To maintain standard staff distance?"
Luca paused, his pen hovering an inch above the desk. He raised his head, his dark eyes fixing Marcus with a look that froze the manager in his tracks.
"Elena stays on the master suite duty," Luca said, his voice flat, quiet, and completely unyielding. "Nobody else enters my bedroom. Nobody else handles my medical care. Is that clear?"
Marcus bowed his head instantly. "Crystal clear, Don Rossi."

Upstairs in her modest staff quarters, Elena sat near her window, looking out at the city lights. The heavy paper folder rested on her lap, a physical symbol of a freedom she thought she had lost forever. She reached up, touching her fingers to her cheek, remembering the heat of his skin, the intensity of his dark eyes, and the undeniable truth that had unfolded in the hallway.
She was no longer just an assistant trying to survive her debts. She had stepped into the inner world of a dangerous man—and neither of them would ever be the same again.
