Chapter 10 - THE VISITATION RECORDS

Megan’s attorney found something else.

Official visitation records.

Andrew had signed temporary guardianship documents years earlier in case something happened to Rachel.

The documents named him as Noah’s biological father.

They also listed the Harrison family residence as a potential placement address.

Megan had never signed them.

Her lawyer examined the copies carefully.

“This signature isn’t yours.”

Megan’s stomach dropped.

Her name appeared on one document.

A forged signature beneath it.

Andrew had gone beyond deception.

He had used her identity.

Suddenly the betrayal was no longer only personal.

It was legal.

Financial.

Potentially criminal.

When Megan confronted him, Andrew stopped defending himself.

“I thought it would never be needed.”

“That is what you say about everything.”

“I was trying to protect everyone.”

Megan almost laughed.

May you like

“You protected yourself.”

For the first time, Andrew did not argue.
