Chapter 10 - THE UNBREAKABLE BLOODLINE
Grant did not move an inch. Instead, his posture shifted—his shoulders broadening, his dark eyes flashing with a terrifying, lethal promise that made the two guards pause mid-step.
"If either of your men takes another step toward this door," Grant said, his voice dropping into a quiet, deadly whisper that chilled the air in the hallway, "I will end them right here on this floor."
His mother gasped softly, stepping back in shock. "Grant! Are you threatening your own security?"
"I am protecting my family," Grant corrected her firmly, his eyes locking onto his mother's pale face with an intensity that made her drop her gaze for the first time in her life. "My real family."
He reached inside his dark suit jacket, his hand lingering near his breast pocket. He pulled out his personal phone, dialed a short three-digit speed dial, and placed the device to his ear.
"Marcus," Grant commanded flatly into the receiver. "Bring the entire primary tactical squad to St. Catherine’s Hospital, fourth floor. Block all exits. No one leaves this wing without my personal clearance—including my mother."
He ended the call and placed the phone back in his pocket, his hand resting over the small brass key tucked safely inside.
His mother stared at him in utter disbelief, her lips trembling with rage and rising panic. "You've lost your mind, Grant! You're choosing a disgraced traitor over your own blood!"
Grant looked down at her, his expression colder than the winter rain beating against the hospital windows outside.

"Inside that room are two newborn boys," Grant stated with absolute, terrifying clarity. "My sons. My heirs. And if that key in my pocket proves what I think it proves... the only traitor in this family is standing right in front of me."
Without waiting for her reply, Grant turned his back on his mother and her guards, pushed open the wooden door of Room 418, and stepped inside to stand guard over his wife and children, ready to uncover the truth that would reshape the Waverly empire forever.
