Chapter 6 - THE RED SEAL

Rachel slowly reached inside her olive field jacket, her hand disappearing into an inner breast pocket. She withdrew a thick, crisp, folded official document made of heavy government-grade parchment paper.
She took three slow, deliberate steps directly toward Lieutenant Carter, stopping just two feet away from his polished navy shoes.
As she held the document in her right hand, she turned her wrist slightly. The camera and the audience sat directly behind the heavy paper, ensuring that the text written upon the inner pages remained completely invisible, hidden from public view.
Lieutenant Carter’s eyes dropped down to the document.
Because of the angle, he couldn't read the text either, but his eyes locked immediately onto the small, dark red embossed official seal pressed into the lower corner of the exposed flap—a rare, highly classified seal surrounded by distinct, raised gold lettering that only those with top-tier security clearance ever laid eyes upon.
The moment Carter’s eyes registered that single seal, every drop of color drained instantly from his face. His cheeks went completely pale, his lips trembled, and his knees seemed to weaken under the sheer weight of what he was staring at.
Rachel looked into his horrified, disbelieving eyes, her voice dropping into a quiet, icy whisper that didn't need a microphone to convey its terrifying weight.
"You wanted proof."
Chief Ramirez stood at absolute attention five feet away, watching Carter’s complete psychological collapse in total, solemn silence.

Slowly, deliberately, Rachel’s fingers began to unfold the official document.
