Chapter 4 - What the Pranks Were Hiding
The financial review exposed more than irresponsible spending.
Kyle had created a second company with Brad and Chase six months earlier. They redirected sponsorship income into it while continuing to charge equipment, hotels, and travel to the company I owned.
They also forged my approval on release forms allowing them to use private footage filmed inside our home.
The most disturbing file was titled Final Wife Prank.
It contained a plan for the gas station video.
Kyle wanted to portray me as unstable after being left alone for less than an hour. The second half would show him returning while I “overreacted,” allowing him to tell viewers I was emotionally abusive and could not handle humor.
He had already prepared a public statement announcing our separation.
The prank was never only about views.
Kyle intended to humiliate me into leaving the company while he controlled the story.
Brad eventually contacted Rachel.
He claimed he had not known Kyle planned to take my purse. He said the prank was supposed to last five minutes.
Rachel asked whether he had filmed me running barefoot behind the truck.
Brad admitted he had.
She told him regret did not erase participation.
But Brad gave her the unedited files, including a recording made before they reached the gas station.
In it, Kyle said:
“Once everyone sees how crazy she gets, nobody will believe her side.”
That sentence destroyed his claim that the abandonment had been spontaneous.
It also convinced Brad to stop protecting him.
