Chapter 9 - The Boardroom Execution

At precisely two o'clock in the afternoon, the top-floor executive boardroom of Stallone Enterprises was packed to capacity. Sixteen senior board members, three chief legal officers, and five major institutional shareholders sat around a thirty-foot conference table made of polished mahogany.

At the head of the table sat Claire Stallone and Derek Vance, flanked by their corporate legal team.

Daniel sat at the far end of the table, dressed in a fresh charcoal suit, his leather satchel resting on his lap. Marcus stood silently behind his chair, his eyes monitoring the room's security cameras.

"This emergency session of the Stallone Enterprises Board of Directors is now called to order," Claire announced, standing up and smoothing her skirt. "The primary agenda item is the review of Daniel Stallone’s management of the heritage endowment and his suitability to assume sole legal trusteeship of the Arthur Stallone Estate."

Claire nodded to Derek, who stood up and opened a thick digital presentation deck on the wall-mounted screen.

"Over the past forty-eight hours," Derek lied smoothly, "our internal risk compliance team discovered severe financial discrepancies in the historical land trust accounts managed under Daniel's umbrella. Furthermore, Daniel's erratic behavior at his daughter’s event last night demonstrates a severe lack of personal stability."

A few older board members nodded solemnly, whispering among themselves.

"We move for an immediate vote," Claire declared, her eyes shining with triumphant malice as she looked down the table at Daniel. "To strip Daniel Stallone of his executive voting rights and assign full estate trusteeship to Derek Vance and myself."

"Does the accused have a statement before we proceed to the roll call?" the board chairman asked quietly.

Daniel stood up slowly. He didn't look at Claire or Derek. He looked directly at the sixteen board members gathered around the table.

"I don't have a statement," Daniel said calmly. "I have an audio-visual exhibit."

Daniel reached into his satchel, pulled out a small black USB flash drive, and handed it to Marcus, who plugged it directly into the boardroom’s central multimedia console.

"What is the meaning of this?" Derek demanded, standing up abruptly. "This is an official corporate procedure, not a circus!"

"Sit down, Derek," Daniel commanded, his voice ringing with absolute authority. "Or I'll have Marcus put you down."

Marcus pressed play.

The fifty-inch wall monitors flickered to life. The audio feed from the lapel microphones recorded at the birthday gala played first, echoing loudly through the acoustic dampening of the boardroom:

"...Make sure she hits the main pillar. If we ruin Daniel's family image tonight, the board will vote against his estate trustee appointment on Monday."

"Done. The old man’s records are almost cleared from the archive anyway. Once Daniel is discredited, he won't have the legal standing to audit the 1994 land trusts."

Gasps erupted across the boardroom table. Two senior board members turned their heads to stare at Claire in utter horror.

"That's... that's a fabrication!" Claire stammered, her face turning crimson. "That's an AI-generated voice clone!"

"Then let's look at the physical evidence," Daniel said smoothly, clicking a remote control.

On the screen, high-resolution scans of the 1992 insurance ledger, Eleanor Reed’s death certificate, and the forced psychiatric commitment papers of Michael Stallone appeared in stark, undeniable detail.

"For thirty years," Daniel announced, his voice carrying the weight of absolute truth, "Claire Stallone and the Vance family have systematically siphoned seventy million dollars from the 1994 port development trusts—money that legally belonged to my father’s first-born son, Michael Stallone, whom they illegally committed to a sanatorium to conceal their corporate fraud."

The boardroom devolved into complete, unbridled chaos. Board members shouted, lawyers scrambled to inspect the documents on the screen, and Claire fell back into her chair, her hands shaking violently.

Suddenly, the heavy double doors of the boardroom swung open.
